The brand new Dvico 6600 series of Personal Video Recorders landed in Australia earlier this month. So far, the response has been outstanding. Having sold dozens of players already, this unit is fast becoming our most successful product launch yet.

So popular has the Wireless 6600N model been around the world that Dvico themselves have none left, with no more expected to be available until December. But don’t worry, being one of the largest resellers of the range in the country, we were contacted yesterday afternoon by the major Australian distributor informing us that they were low in stock. So we snapped up all remaining units! Get in fast though because stock is limited and they wont last long.

So what’s so good about this unit you ask? Well basically, it’s the best of the 3300 and 6500 series, combined into one unit with wireless (optional) and internet services included as well. With 1080p Crystal Clear High Definition playback, the 6600 series is capable of playing a huge range of media files, including Blu-Ray quality files like H.264 and .mkv. When combined with the T441 Dual HD Tuner, the 6600 has time-shifting features for rewinding and pausing live TV. Further, you can record from two different channels at the same time, so you’ll never have to miss a show again! With the different networking options available, you are able to store all your multimedia on a centralised server and watch it back on TVs around the house.

The buzz around the internet so far has been very positive. It’s not only very popular, but also well received in terms of features and functions, and importantly the quality with which they are delivered. All in all – a highly recommended product!

Hi Guys and Gals,

Wanted to let you know we’ve just added a big range of brand name Flat Screen TVs to the store. Samsung, Panasonic, Sony and LG are the headliners – not bad as an introductory range if you ask us! Anyway, coinciding with our Flat Screen range launch, the major brands are running some pretty sensational promotions in the run in to Christmas. Read on for more…

Our introductory promo banner.

SAMSUNG

Purchase a selected LCD or Plasma TV, receive a bonus 22″ LCD (Valued at $699) for free! Purchase a selected LED TV, receive a bonus 26″ LCD (Valued at $899) for free!

Our favorite Flat Panel TV brand, Samsung, have just arrived at Eljo Media Solutions. We are pretty much stocking their entire range, and on certain models, there is an awesome promotion running. As it says above, buy any selected Samsung Flat Screen TV and receive a bonus 22″-26″ LCD absolutely free. We’ll go through the redemption process for you and send out your bonus LCD TV as soon as it arrives. Hurry though because the promo runs until Christmas Eve or, more likely – until stocks last. Of the eligible models, in our opinion you can’t go past the Series 6 LED Screens. They are perfect for wall mounting because they are so slim and offer up top class picture quality. And what’s more – they’re sure to make your friends envious!

SONY

Purchase a selected Sony LCD TV and receive a bonus Playstation 3 Slim (Valued at $499.95) and a 3 Year Extended Warranty (Valued at $199) for free!

The SONY Bravia range of LCD TVs are great to look at when switched off and even better when switched on. What’s even better, they’re now available from Eljo Media Solutionsour store! Again, we’ll go through the redemption process for you and send out your PS3 as soon as it arrives. If you purchase before the end of November, Sony are guaranteeing delivery before Christmas. Of the ones available, we really rate the 200Hz Z Series. But if its’ environmental responsibility your after, check out the WE Series as well, which Sony claims consumes less power than 2 ordinary light bulbs!

PANASONIC

Purchase a selected Panasonic VIErA Plasma TV and receive your choice of Bonus Gifts for free! There is a Digital Camera Pack (Valued at $639), a Blu-Ray Home Theatre System (Valued at $1099) or a DVD Recorder (Valued at $1099) to choose from.

Not to be outdone, Panasonic are also running a promotion on the epic Viera Plasma range which, surprise surprise, is also now available from Eljo! This promotion lets you choose from a selection of 3 gift packs, of which they are giving away a total of 12,000 of each. The promo, like the others above, runs until 24/12/09 or until stocks last – which we’re told wont be until then. If we were you – we’d jump all over the G10 range, to which CNET Australia have given their Editors Choice award to for the year. It’s really quite an amazing TV.

LG

No Promotions – just great TVs at great prices!

We’ve also added an extensive list of the LG Electronics range of Flat Screens. Whilst they aren’t running any promotions, we are pretty sure you’ll fall in love with our prices. LG Electronics, being one of the largest electronics brands on the planet, produce ultra reliable, high end Plasma’s and LCD screen TVs. In terms of value for money, we really like the LH20 range. Although if you have that bit extra to splash out on the LH35, do so as they are wicked.

AUTHORISED FACTORY REFURBS

Eljo have also signed up with one of Australia’s favorite LCD TV brands to be able to offer you Officially Authorised Factory Refurb TVs.

Whilst we’d all love to be able to afford these high end TVs from Samsung, Panasonic or Sony, it’s just not in everyone’s budget. So we’ve arranged with one of Australia’s favorite LCD TV brands to offer you Authorised Factory Refurb TVs. The majority of them are A Grade refurbs, meaning they are guaranteed to be in as new condition. However, all of them are covered by a 3 month manufacturer warranty, just to make sure. Check out the prices, we reckon you’ll be pleasantly surprised (how does $669 for a 32″ LCD sound?).

We are still busily adding the final touches to our range. If there are any particular models that you are really keen on that aren’t on the site, chances are the web master is still getting on to creating the listings. Just contact us to enquire. What’s more, we should be adding more brands in the coming weeks so keep checking in if we don’t currently stock what you are after.

Have a great day!

It is a small player which can have an internal 2.5″ SATA Hard Drive installed. These drives are rapidly increasing in size, with a new 1TB edition recently being released by Western Digital. The Xtreamer is an extremely affordable option in the Network Media Player category. We are selling the unit by itself for just $189, you can choose whether or not to install a Hard Drive from there. For those of you wishing to keep the unit out of reach of any cabled network, not to worry. There is an optional USB Wireless Antenna available for an extra $30.

Playback is in crystal clear, 1080p High Definition, via the high quality HDMI output. This allows for a huge range of file types to be compatible, including all the newer Blu-Ray formats, like .M2TS and MKV H.264.

Recently announced by leading Hard Drive manufacturers Western Digital, the Western Digital WD TV Mini Media Player is set to take various formats of multimedia even further into your life.

As mentioned in the below press release, it is capable of 1080i High Definition playback via it’s component video outputs or standard definition via it’s composite outputs. This is a step down from the original 1080p WD TV Media Player, and considering they are similarly priced, We’re not too sure why anyone would choose this player over its’ predecesor. Like its’ predecesor, the WD TV Mini does not have any onboard storage space. Rather, you need to plug in an external USB Device to access any content. This player is now available from some outlets in the US, but as yet we have heard no word on its’ Australian release.

Considerably more exciting is the impending release of the WD TV Live Media Player, with added networking capabilities. This player will be the Western Digital version of the eGreat M34A or the Asus O!Play. Having said that, the WD TV Mini does look flash and it is even smaller than it’s older brother. Check out the image and press release below…

WD® INTRODUCES NEW WD TV™ MINI MEDIA PLAYER WITH REALVIDEO™ SUPPORT TO PLAY YOUR DIGITAL MEDIA ON THE BIG SCREEN

SINGAPORE – Aug. 17, 2009 – WD® (NYSE: WDC), the world’s leader in external storage solutions, today introduced a new version of its popular WD TV media player. The new WD TV Mini Media Player now enables playback of RealNetworks®, Inc.’s RealVideo™ content and provides a more affordable way for consumers to play their stored digital content in up to 1080i HD resolution directly on their HD television.

The WD TV Mini Media Player connects to a user’s TV or home theater and plays digital movies, music and photos stored on USB drives such as the best-selling WD My Passport portable drive. As with other WD TV models, the WD TV Mini Media Player supports playback of digital media on most USB mass storage devices such as digital camcorders and digital cameras. The new compact design is small and portable enough that users can easily take it with them when they travel and play their digital media anywhere on any TV in up to 1080i HD resolution.

According to research firm Parks Associates, the average consumer household currently has approximately 298 GB of digital media, which will reach approximately 898 GB of digital media by 2012.

These large personal digital libraries are all but trapped on users’ computers. In order to play their content on their TV, consumers have struggled with clumsy solutions such as copying onto multiple CDs and DVDs or connecting their PCs to their TVs via wires or complicated home networking solutions. The new WD TV Mini Media Player perfectly suits the needs of those with a large media collection that are looking for an easy and affordable solution to watch their digital media on their TV.

“The popularity of the RealVideo format and its compatibility with the WD TV Mini Media Player makes it an excellent solution for consumers who wish to enjoy their RealVideo content on their TVs,” said Scott Nelson, director of business development for RealNetworks.

“For those who desire an easy, affordable and portable solution to enjoy their digital media on their TV and who have content in RealVideo format, the new WD TV Mini Media Player fits the bill,” said Dale Pistilli, vice president of marketing for WD’s Branded Products Group. “The new WD TV Mini Media Player unlocks the content from their PCs and storage devices and makes it simple for people to enjoy their media on their home theater system, without the need to spend time configuring a complicated device or transcoding files to make them compatible.”
